I've written about quiz nights a few times over the last nine and a half years. Either being in a competing team or as part of the group organising it. It was the latter last week.
Mrs Tea at Johnny's' work has a quiz every six months or so and, cutting a long story short, the team I was on with her at the last one were tasked with putting this one together.
I wrote a few questions for it but my main role on the evening was to do the talking. Asking the questions, giving answers, thanking people... the host role if you will. Thankfully, it went well.
So on the host theme here's Host by The Wake, the B-side of the 1983 single Something Outside. Being on the same label as, and sometimes touring with, New Order meant that they were overshadowed somewhat through that part of their career.
I bought their debut album, Harmony, and I think the first three singles but I didn't know they carried on after the mid-80s for a bit and then reformed in 2009. Might have to give some of that newer stuff a listen.
