We've been living with a spider for about the last six weeks. Not a pet one you understand. One of those house spiders that make themselves known at this time of year.
It lived in the kitchen for a while. First by the bin, then under the washing machine. After this it moved under the stairs for a bit and has spent the last ten days or so in the lounge hiding behind the television.
I really don't want to kill the spider but neither does the spider want to be caught so we have somewhat of a standoff at the moment.
Spider by They Might Be Giants is from their excellent 1992 album Apollo 18. It's very odd. And short. There are some sort of cartoon hero/villain vibes about it.
