Track of the Week - 1 November 2015
Autumn's a funny old time of year weather-wise. Most of the time it's grey, sometimes drifting into soul-crushingly gloomy, but occasionally it brings the most stunningly beautiful scenes.
Yesterday afternoon and this morning have shown us the happy side of the autumn equation. The sky was a beautiful shade of blue and gave a fantastic backdrop for a contrast with the different trees going through their end of season spectrum.
There are still some dark greens about but they now seem there just to show off the lighter greens, bright yellows, glowing oranges, fiery reds and deep purples.
In a week or so most of the leaves will be gone and the winter wind will be whipping through the bare branches, so for now we need to enjoy the colours while we can.
PS - See comments below. I neglected to tell you that this Hot Chip single from the fabulous 2006 album The Warning is a lovely, gentle piece of electronica that will go down well looking at the trees on a beautiful autumn day.
And what about the track?
