Colonel Abrams: Trapped

Track of the Week - 18 September 2016

It's not often that I do something that might be considered on trend but on Friday I was with some of my work family for an 'escape room' experience.

If you're not familiar with this concept, you get shut in a room and there are all sorts of clues about the place and as you solve them you get keys and more clues. In this one, after gathering in a steampunk-designed room and being led to the study of a scientific super-villain by a lab-coated loud voiced man through some dry ice, we had an hour to solve everything and get out. I'm delighted to say we made it with two minutes 11 seconds to spare.

It was great fun, so big thanks to Locked in a Room, Bristol and our host Daisy.

So on the locked in theme here's Trapped by Colonel Abrams*. It got to number three in 1985 if you're interested. I'm sure I wouldn't have been at the time but it must have lodged in my brain somehow.

* I don't think he's a real Colonel. That uniform is a bit of a giveaway.
