Track of the Week - 4 September 2016
With last Monday being a sunny Bank Holiday it was the perfect opportunity for me and Mrs Tea at Johnny's to go out to a nearby National Trust property.
We chose Dyrham Park near Bath, a 17th/18th century country house set in some very nice gardens. Well worth a trip if you're that way and definitely get yourself on the conservation tour of the house.
The site has been used for many hundreds of years and during the time of Henry VIII it was a deer park.
And that leads me in to one of my very favourite tracks on one of my all-time favourite albums of all-time, Hex Enduction Hour by The Fall. From 1982 there seem to be many references to the group's acrimonious first spell on Rough Trade Records (as opposed to their acrimonious second spell!) during the relentless five minutes or so.
If you've made it this far and are still interested in listening then you'll need to wind this video on to 1:25 as it's segued on to the song Fortress.
