Track of the Week - 2 October 2016
For no better reason than I was in London* with work this week.
The Smiths made so many great records they could afford to stick amazing songs like this, Jeane, Rubber Ring and Asleep (to name but four) on b-sides of their singles.
This was on the reverse of the 1987 single Shoplifters of the World Unite, and is a stomping two-minute belter with the band at full throttle. Miserable? Dull? No way.
*My train heaved on to Paddington, not Euston as mentioned in the song but I'm sure you can allow me that.
