Saint Etienne - Lost in the Library

Track of the Week - 21 October 2018

I do love a second-hand bookshop. And I also love it when the local library has a sell-off of some of its old stock. Like this week.

I was on good behaviour though and only came away with one book (cricketer Kevin Pietersen's autobiography - for 50p!) The person working there did say they might be refreshing the stock over the coming weeks so there may well be repeat visits.

The library song I've selected* is Lost in the Library by indie synthpop dance outfit Saint Etienne. It's from the 1999 album The Misadventures of Saint Etienne which was only released in Japan. I'm reading this off Wikipedia, can you tell?

If you like short, quiet instrumentals then it's your sort of thing.

* The best library-related song is Karen by The Go-Betweens but that's about a librarian. If I find out that one of the people working there is called Karen you might get that.
