Track of the Week - 17 February 2019
I had a birthday this week. It often seems to happen about this time of year.
So here's The Fall with Birthday. It's a cover of a 1968 The Idle Race track from their The Birthday Party album, written by Jeff Lynne of The Move and ELO fame.
The original is actually quite a sad listen. The Fall, in a rare outing without Mark E Smith on vocals, race through it somewhat in this studio outtake that was released on the 1996 Sinister Waltz compilation album.
