The Human League: Mirror Man

Track of the Week - 24 March 2019

My car was damaged in an act of vandalism this week. Some hooligan (or hooligans) twisted both my wing mirrors the way they're not supposed to go while my car was parked in a quiet cul-de-sac.

Some fascia was broken off in the act and when I bent the mirrors back into place they are now somewhat wonky. The electric adjustment still just about works but I'm now left with a dilemma. As I've got an old car do I spend out getting them fixed?

If it costs a fair bit of money then it might not be worth it to get the work done. If I don't do it will they fall off when it's least convenient? These hooligans don't think about this sort of thing do they?

I don't suppose synth-pop legends The Human League were singing about wing mirror vandals* in their 1982 number two smash hit Mirror Man.  If you can imagine an electronic Northern soul track then you've probably got this worked out.

* It's about Adam Ant apparently. Never knew that.
