One of those nice, easy ones for me this week where I've been to a gig and can pick something by the band in question.
The band in question is Interpol and Mrs Tea at Johnny's and I took a trip to Wolverhampton to see them performing on a tour which celebrates the 20th anniversary of their second album, Antics.
They opened with the ten tracks from that album which includes some of my favourites of theirs in the shape of Evil, Slow Hands and Not Even Jail. Bands playing albums in their entirety is interesting. There's an argument that that because the audience knows what's coming next there is a reduced feeling of anticipation and reaction to the songs.
Whether that's right or wrong, and as good as that was, the band did seem to 'let the handbrake off' after that part of the show. It might seem contrary but I'm picking a track that isn't on Antics.
My favourite on the night was Roland from their 2002 debut Turn On the Bright Lights so that's the choice.
