Track of the Week - 27 Sep 2015
There was a world record attempt at work this week. It wasn't the pole vault or the world land speed record or anything like that but for the world's largest cream tea party.
It was a fund raiser for Macmillan Cancer Support. We haven't heard yet if it's been successful. I don't know how long adjudicators take with these things.
I've been under the weather this week so didn't take part. I could have been a contender. I could have been a record breaker.
Record Breakers was a popular infotainment television show in my youth and was headed by the late Roy Castle. (He wasn't late at the time, that would have been weird.)
Castle was hugely talented and broke multiple records himself. If he'd have been around today and the record attempt proves successful he would no doubt have mentioned the dedication of all the people involved in staging the event.
But as he isn't, I'll bring you the classic Record Breakers opening theme tune instead.
