Track of the Week - 30 October 2016
My friendly colleague Zoe was performing in an amateur musical review this week so a good number of my work family went along to show our support.
The songs featured all came from shows written this century so I didn't know much of the material. Zoe did really well, she has a great voice, the rest of the show was somewhat hit and miss. There was some good stuff like Turn it Off from The Book of Mormon, some stuff that needed a heck of a lot more context like the songs from Hamilton and some that was less good, (I'll leave that there).
One of my favourites from the evening was Omigod You Guys from Legally Blond The Musical.
I think it's just great fun. This revelation has stunned most of my colleagues who found it 'screechy' and are annoyed that I keep referring to it and putting the tune in their head.
