Track of the Week - 25 June 2017
Aren't birds of prey brilliant?
Sorry, went all Fast Show there for a minute. But I do like a bird of prey. Very handsome creatures. Except for some vultures perhaps. But they're still ace as they do an invaluable job as nature's bio-hazard team. Save the vultures!
I digress. I had a ticket to see a birds of prey display at a local park/stately home place today. I arrived at the appointed hour but it it had been cancelled at short notice. Birds of prey man had been in a road accident and some of the birds had been taken to the vet. Sad times. I wish the human and avian beings affected a speedy recovery.
I'm still up for some bird-based music thhough so this week's track is Rise of the Eagles by The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster which got to number 40 in 2004.
Mrs Tea at Johnny's introduced me to it. I don't know much about the band so I'll just say that this is a top tune (as I believe the young people say) in the indie rock style.
