Track of the Week: 30 July 2017
There have been a few 'this week my work took me' to posts recently. Well this week my work took me to the Royal Welsh Show near Builth Wells in Powys.
Much like the Royal Norfolk Show a few weeks ago I was there with some of my work family representing our business and putting smiles on faces with piggy bank painting and poetry.
There were a few Welsh speakers that came to our stand but thankfully they had English too in the most part. I have no Welsh apart from 'bore da'. Perhaps I should have listened closer to this Wedding Present track from the awesome 2016 album Going, Going...
Welsh words and phrases are repeated over a gentle guitar track and then builds into a full band instrumental at 2:00 and explodes into proper Wedding Present guitar thrash mode at 2:47 before calming back down a minute later with solo piano until the end. It's ace.
