We put the Christmas tree up at Tea at Johnny's towers this week, so have a song about a Christmas tree. (Hey, not every week can be exciting.)
O Tannenbaum (O Christmas Tree) is a German Christmas carol based on a traditional folk song. The modern lyrics date from the early 1800s and it morphs into a Christmas song later that century.
American alternative act They Might Be Giants released their version as a single in 1993. They don't play it for laughs.
