Track of the Week - 4 August 2019
Because I went out for a Ruby* on Tuesday.
It was a great evening out with some old, good friends (or good, old friends) and I had the most delicious fish curry. I think two of the best meals I've had over the last ten years have been fish curries. Maybe it's my thing.
Rock legends The Rolling Stones released Ruby Tuesday in January 1967. Coupled with Let's Spend the Night Together it was a UK number three and US chart-topper.
It's not about curry but a girlfriend of guitarist Keith Richards in case you were interested. It's more wistful and melodic than a lot of their earlier stuff.
* Rhyming slang for curry as if you didn't know.
