Track of the Week - 28 November 2021
One of the downsides of returning to regular football watching is that some games are played in the winter.
Tuesday night's match was on the chilly side but yesterday was freezing! It had snowed in the morning and the low temperatures were amplified (can you amplify temperatures?) by an ice cold wind.
I don't know what the wind chill factor was exactly but I know it was enough to cut through my various outer wear and thermals. It took me a good couple of hours to warm up again.
Wind Chill Factor (Minus Zero) is from Irish new wave act The Boomtown Rats' third album, 1979's The Fine Art of Surfacing. That's a decent album and this track is a pretty good example of what the Rats were like at the time too.
