I could have a whole bus-related genre on here. We've had the bus breakdown and the man with a massive tub of mealworms over the last few months.
This week a man got on the bus with a toilet seat. It was new, still in its wrapping, which makes it a bit less weird but it's still not something you see every day. While it's quite a jump from toilet seat to The Mercy Seat it's where my mind went and I can't help that.
A song of a man going to be executed by electric chair and comparing and contrasting that scene with Christian imagery (particularly around the Ark of the Covenant) it's a masterpiece. A 1988 single and featuring on Tender Prey, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds' 1988 LP, I'm going with a different version.
