Adam and the Ants: Kick!

I always think it's worth mentioning firsts on this feature so today's first is that I've had a game of footgolf. Yes, 'footgolf'.

My brother and I went to Bassett Down Golf Club for this experience and it's what you think it might be. Kicking a football on a golf course. And yes, the holes are much bigger.

Not having kicked a football with any gusto in more than 20 years it took a little while to threaten par on the early holes but by about the turn we were getting to grips with it and improved over the back nine. The wind behind us and some downhill holes also probably helped.

So a song for kicking things leads me to Kick! by Adam and the Ants. I've gone with the version that was on the b-side of the 1980 single Cartrouble as that's the one I'm most familiar with.

And it's great.
