It's been a bit of a UFO week. It's the anniversary of The Battle of Los Angeles which some conspiracy theorists think was an alien spacecraft causing a panic over that city in 1942. It may have been a Japanese air incursion, a false alarm caused by a weather balloon or UFOs. Your call.
I also read that there is a film about the Rendlesham Forest Incident - also known as Britain's Roswell - where aliens landed near a Suffolk airbase in 1980. Or it was a lighthouse or some other curious light phenomena or pranksters. You will have your opinions. I think it's odd that the most credible reports of UFOs happen near military bases. Just a thought.
Anyhow, it gives me a chance to use this belter from the Wedding Present's Hit Parade series of singles released during 1992*. This was July's effort and reached number 22. It's even better live.
* The Weddoes released a single a month throughout the year. Each one made the top 40 making the band the first artists since Elvis Presley to achieve that feat.
