Track of the Week - 2 January 2016
Between Christmas and New Year* (and a little bit either side) the televisual viewing in our house is dominated by the Professional Darts Corporation's World Darts Championship.
I've been a darts fan (and occasional player) since it burst onto the screens into the seventies and it still makes for tremendous watching.
This year's tournament has been of a particularly high quality with Dutch legend Raymond van Barneveld rolling back the years, his victories over World number one Michael van Gerwen and surely future champion Michael Smith extraordinary sporting theatre by any measure.
This Franz Ferdinand single was their debut release in 2003 and while it has nothing to do** with the sport of darts*** it's a mighty fine song by a mighty fine band.
* Or Twixtmas as I like to call it
** It's about seduction apparently although there is a dartboard briefly shown in the video.
