We're having an office move at work and while that all gets built and re-arranged we needed to have a working from home day.

It was a real working from home day too, not a 'working from home' day. And as we couldn't have face-to-face meetings that meant telephone meetings instead.

I must have spent two and a half hours on the phone. I haven't been on the phone that much in a day since I worked in a call centre 20 years ago.

The Fall's Telephone Thing was a 1990 single that got to number 58 and is about phone tapping rather than being on meeting calls. It was co-written with electronic music duo Coldcut and mentions
