Hot Chip: Out at the Pictures

Mrs Tea at Johnny's needed to go to London for a meeting this week. I tagged along and went to the Museum of London (which is excellent, and free), chiefly to see a small but perfectly formed exhibition on The Clash's critically-acclaimed 1979 album London Calling.

That would have been an ideal choice had I not used it two and a half years ago so time for a re-think... I also went to the pictures with my mum this week. It was a belated birthday present. To me, not my mum.

I haven't been to the pictures for perhaps ten years. It's been so long it now appears to be called the cinema. We saw Knives Out which is a super whodunnit if you like that sort of thing. (I do.)

Out at the Pictures was the opening track on Hot Chip's super 2008 album Made in the Dark. It's a great piece of synth-pop, well in keeping with their best work.
