The Police: Don't Stand So Close To Me

Track of the Week - 19 April 2020

Another title for our times.

We're lucky to have a bit of space around Tea at Johnny's Towers for our daily exercise walk but it's not so simple when it comes to doing the 'big shop.'

The queueing system outside works fine but it's a bit more of a free-for-all on the inside, some people observe the 'two-metre rule', some people seem less bothered.

The Police's Don't Stand So Close To Me isn't about reminding people of their social distancing obligations but rather a teacher who has a relationship with one of his pupils.

It was a 1980 number one (their third) as the group moved towards becoming one of the biggest bands in the world.
