Track of the Week - 18 April 2021
The recent relaxation in Coronavirus restrictions meant that I was able to meet five of my friends at the same time this week, some of them for the first time in more than a year.
We did have to sit out in Simon's garden, and it was a cold night so we were all in coats and hats but it was good to get out and have a chat at long last. So it's a garden song for this week's selection.
I was only introduced to British blues rock band The Groundhogs music very recently* but I was very taken by it and now you can be too. The Fall covered their Strange Town on their 2008 album Imperial Wax Solvent and bits of Garden are inserted in that track too.
You can find Garden (and Strange Town for that matter) on The Groundhogs 1970 album Thank Christ for the Bomb which was a UK number nine.
