Track of the Week - 20 June 2021
Tea at Johnny's Towers temporarily re-located to Somerset for a week for a little holiday. To be a bit more precise we were in the shadow of the Mendips.
We needed to drive along the A371 at various times during the week and the side of the road appeared to be a hotbed for strawberry sellers. There was one particular stretch where the sign 'Fresh Strawberries' seemed to pop up four times in about a quarter of a mile.
Naturally all that reminded me of Fresh Strawberries by Franz Ferdinand. A 2014 single from the terrific album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action (try and get the version with the bonus CD) it reached number 20 in the physical sales chart but didn't trouble the main chart.
For me, Franz Ferdinand have been consistently excellent across their twenty year career and here's another reason why.
