Track of the Week - 1 August 2021
We were off for a haircut this week and we take a back road as part of the journey. Except we couldn't this week as the road was closed. So we followed the diversion sign.
Now I don't know if I misread the direction of the arrow or if any signs were missing/obscured along the route but about five minutes later we found ourselves driving past where we started from.
We didn't make the same mistake twice, taking a different, albeit slightly more convoluted, route. So after that round trip I thought New Order's Round & Round might be appropriate.
From the excellent 1989 album Technique the song reached 21 on the UK singles chart. It might not be their absolute best work but artists above them in the chart that week included The Reynolds Girls, Chanelle (who?) and Kon Kan (who?). What is wrong with people?
