Track of the Week - 14 November 2021
It's ok - I wasn't lost in any respect, neither did I lose.
We were out for a walk last week and we saw a lady we know from a nearby shop looking a bit flustered. She'd become separated from her dog (a black labrador) and couldn't find him. As we were walking in the opposite direction we said we'd keep a look out.
A couple of minutes later we did see a dog on its own so with a bit of coaxing and some shouting to the owner we did manage to reunite them. A good deed well done.
I did think about using What Up, Dog? by Was (Not Was) this week and there's also Winter by The Fall which mentions a "large black dog" but in the end the choice is Lost Again by Swiss electronic duo Yello. As I haven't heard it in a couple of decades I did think the song was called simply Lost but I'm in too deep now to change my mind. And I don't know if the dog has a habit of disappearing like that.)
I've got a few records by Yello from (roughly) 1982-88. Some of them in more than format. Lost Again was a 1983 single that reached the heady heights of number 73. If you don't know them then think (for the main part) a less commercial Sparks.
This still sounds decent.
