Mrs Tea at Johnny's has got more into classical music over the last couple of years. She's particularly partial to a bit of harpsichord.
So that's why we found ourselves in Holy Trinity Church, Longlevens this week for the Three Choirs Festival.
We went to an event called 'For Anna Magdalena', a performance of harpsichord and song with Mahan Esfahani on keys and soprano Carolyn Sampson singing. It was a lot of JS Bach and a bit of Couperin if you know your stuff (or want to find out more.)
There was also an interlude of a world premiere performance of some Persian poems set to music. Worthy but weird, it really wasn't my thing.
I've handed over to Mrs Tea at Johnny's this week and she's picked a representation of her favourite from the day. Elizabeth Anderson plays the harpsichord on this recording.
