I was at a fundraising sports quiz this week with some very good friends of mine. We've been going for a few years and this was apparently its 30th anniversary. The chosen charity this year was Parkinson's UK.
With four people to a team there is obviously going to be a difference of opinion at times over answers and it often comes down to a 50/50 choice.
One of the team is confident but gets it wrong, so next time they are less confident but right but you go with the team member who was ignored last time but got it right only this time they are wrong.
It could go one way or another but how often do you pick the wrong one? (Maybe it's just confirmation bias.) We recovered from a poor start to finish joint-seventh out of about 45 teams. One of our better results.
One Way or Another is on Blondie's excellent 1978 album Parallel Lines. First LP I bought if you're interested. It was released as a single in the US but not over here.
